What is Ostheopathy ?
Ostheopathy is a manual therapy using a view of the entire body and the medical history of the patient.
It looks at understanding the cause of the pain from the analysis of the different systems of the human body.
It uses different technics to soothe the strain, the unbalance and the pain, while adapting to each patient.
Sometime, several meetings will be necessary. Also the patient might need more, and a multidisciplinary meeting might be necessary.

Laurène Soulet de Brugière
I always was very manual and nowadays were everything is done through computer, I found it very uplifting that there is a job where nothing can replace the hand of the therapist and what he feels through it.
I graduate in 2017 from IDHEO (Located in Nantes).
Ostheopathy is a human practice and it is with contact with patients and colleagues that I still learn more and improve myself.
As I practice many sports, I do find interesting to see patient with sport injuries, like horse riding, shooting, diving, skydiving, skying, waterboarding, fighting, Judo, Karate, etc… but many other jobs are quite physical and I do find many similarity between the injuries.
Hélène Chesneau
I am an “Osthéopathe Exclusif”.
I graduated 5 years ago from a school recognized by the Health Department.
Since 2014, I practice Ostheopathy, and my field of expertise is “périnatalité”, (around the birth) which is the care of the mother after the birth and her baby. I have always been quite interested in this, and in 2018 I took class to learn how to take care of infertility through Ostheopathy.
New classes I took about babies, enriched my knowledge, specially about feeding, restrictive tongue break, cranial asymmetry and plagiocephaly.
In 2019 I started another speciality. How to learn to prevent foot injuries during a race, with the internationally known institution “La Clinique du Coureur” ( the runner’s clinic).
Gaëtane Pibouleau
I graduated from the EPO (Ecole d’Osthéopathie de Paris) after 5 years of studies.
This school is recognized by the Health Department.
I wrote my thesis on the usefulness of ostheotherapy on the side effects of chemotherapy.
After I graduated, I have worked in different places all over, and learned more as was practicing.
I also took classes to learn about osteopathy and fertility at the organization OPYA.

Treatment and permanent checking during the kid’s growth. It could be a simple checking, but also the checking of the disruption of the swallowing, the digestion (colic of the new born), the checking of the way the baby carries his head and/or its construction (plagiocephaly: flat head), the learning of walking, the growing of the teeth, braces and hormonal development.

Fees
55 Euros for a consultation
+15 Euros on Holidays or for an at home consultation, if located more than 12Km. from the Office.
We take cash, check and credit cards.
Where to find us
We are located at the second floor of the “PÔLE DE SANTÉ DE SAUMUR”.
You can park your car on the parking located on “Place de l’Europe”.
Once you enter the entrance hall, please ring the bell on the “Interphone”, then enter after the door has been opened for you. You may wait in the waiting room on the second floor. You can reach it by stairs or elevator.
